Erykah Badu – offensive or artistic?

05Apr10

So by now you must have heard the controversy over the new Erykah Badu video for Window Seat. In the clip she strips naked as she walks through the street where JFK was assassinated and seemingly recreates his assassination. Of course the US are up in arms about both the message of the video and Erykah’s public nudity.

I actually think the video is a great piece of art and for a country that claims to want freedom of speech they seem to be taking it away from Badu. What do you think?

I hate videos that are just sensationalist for the sake of it because the song is average.

Neither artistic nor offensive, just ridiculous and pathetic.
